A Hands-On Approach to Tackling Cyber Challenges and Innovation

The Cyber Innovation Center coordinates efforts across SAIC in collaboration with key vendors and teammates. It leverages state-of-the-art technologies and thought leadership in an agile facility to fuse ideas, services, and technologies into comprehensive solutions.

These solutions place SAIC at the forefront of the cyber community, where we are positioned to assist and help private and public sectors by addressing their cyber issues. The CIC offers an environment where the comprehensive power of SAIC's workforce is brought to bear on cyber challenges. Key features include:

Research and Development Space

• A common, shared physical and virtual computing infrastructure used to optimize typical acquisition costs associated with R&D initialization, and minimize start-up delays

Demonstration Space

• Showcase for the latest product and service developments from SAIC and its teammates

Training and Conference Space

• Locale for innovation and technology conferences, training and education, provided by both internal SAIC resources as well as other organizations

Proposal Solution Support

• Reconfigurable space to allow for collaboration and continuity during proposal solution development work

Prototyping

• Dedicated space for actualization and integration of R&D concepts

Hosting Space

• Expandable to support the hosting of emerging technologies and services
• Tier 1 data center, providing 300kW power and 80 tons cooling
• Passive optical network fiber technology usage throughout the CIC
• 24-hour video surveillance and physical access control
• Physical security requirements meeting National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53

A Dedicated Staff

• Facilitates and supports the agile infrastructure and workspace
• Acts as an advocate on behalf of hosted efforts and opportunities
• Acts as a liaison between internal and external outlets and resources
• Increases awareness of new technologies and trends within the field and market
